SUMMARY:
Fingerprinting; school employees. Adds Chesapeake to the list of jurisdictions in which the school board is authorized to require fingerprints and criminal background checks on prospective employees. The cost of the fingerprinting and records check will be borne by the employee. Combining the provisions of HB 1017, HB 1382, and HB 1385, HB 82 added Stafford County and Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, and Virginia Beach.
