Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 55-510.4 as follows:

§ 55-510.4. Requirements for certain associations; enforcement.

For the purposes of this chapter, any association incorporated under the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act (§ 13.1-801 et seq.) is required to adhere to the provisions of Article 7 (§ 13.1-837 et seq.) of such act. The provisions of Article 7 shall be enforceable against any association incorporated under the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act by the Common Interest Community Board pursuant to its powers and duties under §§ 54.1-2349, 54.1-2351, and 54.1-2352. This section shall not be construed to limit the enforcement of laws by any other means or entity against associations incorporated under the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act.
