SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Carnal knowledge; bail bondsmen; penalty. Increases from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 6 felony the penalty for carnal knowledge of a pretrial defendant or posttrial offender by an owner or employee of the bail bond company that posted the pretrial defendant's or posttrial offender's bond and has the authority to revoke such bond. This bill is a recommendation of the Virginia State Crime Commission.
