SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Cigarette tax. Authorizes any county to impose a tax on the sale of cigarettes, not to exceed the greater of five cents per pack or the amount levied under state law. Currently, only Fairfax and Arlington Counties as authorized to impose such a tax.
