National teacher certification. Directs the Commission on Educational Accountability (SJR 498, 1999) to study ways of creating additional incentives for the Commonwealth’s public school teachers to achieve national certification. This 10-year certification is available through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization.
