Use of religious and charitable organizations to meet social needs. Requests that a task force, chaired by the Lieutenant Governor, be established to examine the “charitable choice” option provided to states under the federal welfare reform legislation which would allow the Commonwealth to contract with religious and charitable organizations for the provision of services to meet social needs.
