SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Definitions of costs recoverable by prevailing party in a lawsuit. Defines recoverable costs in a trial action to include filing fees, fees for service of process, fees for issuance of subpoenas and, in the discretion of the court, costs of the taking and transcribing of depositions. The bill also defines costs recoverable by the prevailing party on appeal to include costs of copies of transcripts, briefs, appendices and petitions for rehearing.
