Introduced by: Clarence E. Phillips | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Alcoholic beverage control; application for licenses; local objection to license applications. Upon submission by certain local governing bodies (Scott and Dickinson Counties) of an objection to the granting of an off-premises beer or wine and beer license to any applicant when he proposes to engage in such business within 500 feet of a public, private, or parochial elementary, middle or high school, or place of worship, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that the operation of such business under such license will adversely affect or interfere with the normal, orderly conduct of the affairs of such school. The bill also specifies when there is no such presumption.
