SUMMARY:
Violations of the Drug Control Act. Increases the penalties for violations involving Schedule III controlled substances from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 5 felony and the penalties for violations involving Schedule IV controlled substances from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 6 felony. This provision has a delayed effective date of July 1, 1998.
