SUMMARY:
Bond authorizations of the Commonwealth. Amends bond authorizations previously approved by the General Assembly.
The affected authorizations for Virginia Public Building Authority projects include: Old City Hall Building ($2.9 million) and the Department of Computer Services Building ($16.3 million) in Richmond (both authorized in 1983) are stricken; 11 other projects authorized in 1983 are reduced by over $3.2 million; an office building in Richmond for the State Corporation Commission (authorized in 1988) is reduced from $23 million to $17.7 million; and a $2.0 million authorization to acquire land, incidental design and preparation for the construction of correctional facilities (authorized in 1991) is reduced.
Two § 9 (c) higher education revenue bond projects are stricken: a residence hall at George Mason University ($17.5 million) authorized in 1989 and a student residence facility at Clinch Valley College ($2.0 million) authorized in 1993.
The bill also decreases the 1992 authorization for the Keen Mountain Prototype Facility #4 by $3.0 million and increases the authorization for the Keen Mountain Prototype Facility #2 by $3.0 million. A $6.0 million authorization, made in 1992, for two adult detention incarceration centers is stricken.
