SUMMARY:

Gas and oil operations. Requires the Director of the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy to perform safety inspections at coalbed methane well and related facility operations, issue a closure order if imminent danger is revealed by the inspection, and notify the Department of Labor and Industry if any other condition creates a risk to health or safety. The director is also to provide for the safety of persons at such operations in his rules, regulations and orders.
