SUMMARY:
Ignoring signal to stop. Makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor (i) to disregard a visible or audible signal from a law-enforcement officer to stop while on foot so as to interfere with or endanger the operation of the law-enforcement officer or endanger another person or any property or (ii) to attempt to escape or elude such law-enforcement officer. Disregarding an officer's signal to stop while operating a motor vehicle under current law is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
If serious bodily injury to another results from a violation of the section, the offender shall be guilty of a Class 6 felony.
