973347308Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 15.1-131.4 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 15.1-131.4. Agreements for enforcement of state and county laws by federal officers on federal property.
The governing body of any county governed under the provisions of Chapter
15 (§ 15.1-722 et seq.) of Title 15.1 may enter into an agreement
with the United States government or a department or agency thereof, under the
terms of which agreement law-enforcement officers employed by such government,
including but not limited to members of the United States Park Police, may
enforce the laws of such county and the Commonwealth on federally owned
properties within such county, and on the highways and other public places
abutting such properties. In the event such an agreement is entered into, all
of the provisions of § 15.1-131 shall be applicable, mutatis mutandis.
