SUMMARY:
Proration of personal property tax on motor carrier transportation property. Authorizes the governing body of any county, city, or town to exempt property of motor carriers engaged in interstate commerce from the proration of tangible personal property tax. The property of interstate carriers that may be excluded from a proration ordinance includes motor vehicles, trailers, and semitrailers with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or more used to transport property for hire.
