SUMMARY:
False reports to police. Makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor for any person knowingly to give a false report to any law-enforcement officer through the activation or engagement of an automatic emergency system intending to mislead the officer as to the commission of any crime. The bill also adds police to the false alarms statute where a fire alarm is activated with malicious intent.
