SUMMARY:
Educational economic enhancement credit. Provides a $1,000 credit to individuals between the ages of 18 and 65 who obtain a high school diploma or its equivalency during the tax year in which it is obtained, and an additional $1,000 credit if the individual can document, through his employer, that he has obtained a job or a promotion as a result of obtaining the diploma. The bill also provides a $1,000 tax credit to an employer for each employee it allows to work towards a high school diploma or its equivalent through its place of employment.
