SUMMARY:

Elections; determination of the results of the elections and abstracts of results. Gives the electoral board additional time (up to one week after the election) to ascertain the results for individuals receiving write-in votes and eliminates the requirement that the abstract list the specific number of votes received by each write-in candidate. The revisions apply only when the number of write-in votes is small--less than five percent of the votes cast for the office in question and less than the number of votes received by the winner.
