1996 SESSION
HB 31 Public Building Authority; bond issue.
Introduced by: Glenn R. Croshaw | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Virginia Public Building Authority. Authorizes additional debt for several existing projects and permits the Authority to undertake several new projects. The bill also lets the Authority finance or refinance the Commonwealth's payments of its portion of the costs of local and regional correctional facilities. To accommodate the additional bond authority, the bill also increases the current $990 million VPBA bond cap to $1,386 million. The bill also expands the definition of "project" to include such financing or refinancing and permits the vice-chairman to exercise the powers and duties of the chairman in his absence.
