SUMMARY:
School board salaries. Increases the maximum salary that may be paid to Buckingham County school board members from $2,400 to $3,600. Under current law, school boards whose membership is elected in whole or in part must approve their salary increases before being awarded any salary increase. In 1992, Buckingham County voters approved by referendum a change from appointed to elected school boards.
