SUMMARY:
Income tax; retired teacher volunteers tax credit. For taxable years beginning on and after January 1, 1996, allows an income tax credit of $5.00 an hour, not to exceed $500 annually, for retired school teachers who volunteer in Virginia's public schools. The school must have a plan for using such volunteers and the school principal must certify the volunteer's hours of service.
