SUMMARY:
Historic Resources Fund. Establishes the Historic Resources Fund, which will be administered and managed by the Department of Historic Resources. The purpose of the Fund is to finance (i) educational opportunities, (ii) operating and capital expenses, (iii) research, and (iv) special historic preservation projects. The bill also authorizes the Board of Historic Resources to apply for gifts and grants which would then be deposited in the Fund. The legislation will enable the Department of Historic Resources to better perform its mission to encourage, stimulate, and support the identification, evaluation, protection, and rehabilitation of the Commonwealth's significant historic, architectural, archaeological, and cultural resources.
