SUMMARY:
Charter; Town of Herndon. Grants to the town authority to inspect buildings for sanitation, to regulate the use and occupancy to forestall blight, to inspect residential rental units for compliance with building regulations in areas subject to blight upon termination of tenancies or when rental property is sold, and to take corrective action to abate blight. Violation of any ordinance adopted to regulate sanitation or use and occupancy shall be a Class 3 misdemeanor.
