SUMMARY:
Juvenile detention. Allows a juvenile 14 or older charged with an offense which, if committed by an adult, would be a felony or a Class 1 misdemeanor, to be held in secure detention (lock-up or holding cell) for up to 72 hours rather than the current maximum of six hours.
