SB 1065 Hospital and doctors' liens.

SUMMARY:

Civil procedure; lien against person whose negligence causes injury. Increases from $1,500 to $ 2,000 the maximum amount of a lien that a hospital may have against an injured person's recovery from a tortfeasor who negligently injured the person who then received medical treatment at the hospital. The bill also increases from $300 to $500 the maximum amount of a lien that each doctor, nurse or physical therapist may have against the recovery.
