SUMMARY:
Virginia Technology Infrastructure Board and Fund created. Creates the Virginia Technology Infrastructure Board and the Virginia Technology Infrastructure Fund to be administered by the Board. The Fund shall consist of savings which accrue to the Commonwealth's agencies and instrumentalities from reductions in (i) local or long-distance telecommunications service charges and (ii) computer services rates charged by the Department of Information and Technology. The purpose of the Fund is to reinvest these savings into new and emerging technological applications that will make the Commonwealth and its subdivisions more efficient and responsive.
