SUMMARY:

Payment of costs for sewer, water and drainage facilities. Allows localities that have committed, by ordinance, to the establishment of a general sewer, water and drainage improvement program to require, in their subdivision ordinance, that a subdivider or developer pay a pro rata share for the cost of providing sewage, water and drainage facilities located off the property controlled by the developer but necessitated by the development. Currently localities may do this only once the governing body or a designated department has established a general sewer, water, and drainage improvement program.
