SUMMARY:
Cases retained by the juvenile court. Authorizes the attorney for the Commonwealth, within 10 days after a juvenile court's final decision to retain a case, to file a notice of appeal to the appropriate circuit court. Currently, the attorney for the Commonwealth may do so only if he deems it to be in the public interest and the juvenile involved is 14 years of age or older and is charged with an offense which, if committed by an adult, would be punishable by death or confinement in a state correctional facility for life or a maximum period of 20 years or more.
