HB 1810 Sheriffs procedural guarantees.
Introduced by: Gladys B. Keating | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Law-enforcement officers' procedural guarantees. Extends the “Police Officers' Bill of Rights” to deputy sheriffs. Thus, deputies would have the same right to a due process hearing in the event of a grievance as do police officers, and the status of a deputy as a purely political appointee would no longer apply.
