SUMMARY:
Sheriffs' staffing standards. Provides that the Compensation Board shall fix the number of full-time positions within a sheriff's department based upon the requests and recommendations of the county board of supervisors, the city council, or the sheriff made by February 1 of each year. The bill also establishes minimum deputy sheriffs standards in any county without a police force.
