HB 1558 Wrongful death; compromise.

SUMMARY:

Wrongful death; compromise. Eliminates the requirement of a physical convening of the parties in interest to consent to a compromise of a wrongful death claim provided the parties endorse the court order approving the compromise or are given notice of the hearing and the proposed compromise.

This bill is recommended by the Boyd-Graves Conference.
