SUMMARY:
Run-off elections; General Assembly. Provides for a run-off election on the fifth Tuesday following an election if no candidate received a majority of the votes cast for the office. The two candidates with the highest number of votes in the first election are the candidates in the run-off election. The bill applies only to elections for the General Assembly; will be effective for the 1995, 1997 and 1999 elections; and expires January 1, 2000.
