SUMMARY:

Distribution of State Lottery proceeds to localities. Requires 25 percent of net lottery profits to be distributed to localities in fiscal year 1995 based on the local composite index as specified in the appropriations act for the 1994-1996 biennium. For fiscal years 1996 and thereafter, 50 percent of net profits shall be distributed. No reduction in local effort is allowed and the money must be used exclusively for education purposes.
