HB 464 Confidentiality of juvenile records.

Introduced by: Alan E. Mayer | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Confidentiality of juvenile records. Provides that a judge, where public interest requires, must make available to the public identifying information on a juvenile who is on parole (aftercare) following an adjudication of delinquency for an act which would be a Class 1, 2 or 3 felony, forcible rape, robbery or burglary or a related offense if committed by an adult or if the juvenile is sentenced as an adult in circuit court. This provision supplants the current law allowing him to release such information on certain "felony" delinquents if the public interest requires.
