SUMMARY:
Additional penalty for multiple sex offenses. Provides for additional punishment of those convicted of certain sex offenses after having been previously convicted. For any offense under Chapter 4, Article 7 of Title 18.2 (Criminal Sexual Assault) and for felonies involving sex offenses against children in Chapter 8, Article 4 of Title 18.2 (Family Offenses; Crimes Against Children), in the case of a second offense, the additional punishment is two years' imprisonment and for a third or subsequent offense the additional punishment is five years' imprisonment. The additional term runs consecutively with that of the predicate offense and is not subject to probation.
