SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Persons with disabilities; disAbility Law Center of Virginia; helpline program. Establishes a helpline program within the disAbility Law Center of Virginia for persons with disabilities. The bill provides that such program may receive and respond to questions regarding state-operated programs that provide services to persons with disabilities and directs the disAbility Law Center of Virginia to publicize a toll-free phone number and web-based portal for receiving questions and the procedures for contacting the helpline program.

Persons with disabilities; disAbility Law Center of Virginia; ombudsman program. Establishes an ombudsman program for persons with disabilities within the disAbility Law Center of Virginia. The program may receive and respond to questions regarding state-operated programs that provide services to persons with disabilities. The program is required to establish a toll-free phone number and web-based portal for receiving questions.
