SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Disposal of unclaimed property in possession of sheriff or police; notice of public display and sale. Allows a law-enforcement agency to publish the required notice that there will be a public display and sale of certain unclaimed personal property that has been in the possession of such law-enforcement agency and remained unclaimed for more than 60 days on the law-enforcement agency's official website or any related social media platforms once a week for two successive weeks. Under current law, such notice may only be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality.
