24108534DWHEREAS, the Health Center Advisory Board of the Town of Middleburg was dissolved in 2023 after 30 years of operation, and the Middleburg Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit entity, was established in its place; and
WHEREAS, the vision of the Middleburg Charitable Foundation is to ensure that members of the community have equal access to opportunity, regardless of socioeconomic background, and to ensure their basic needs are fulfilled through the provision of food, personal safety, education, and health care; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Middleburg Charitable Foundation is to provide for disadvantaged and vulnerable communities; and
WHEREAS, the Middleburg Charitable Foundation is committed to the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion and strives to create a culture of inclusivity; and
WHEREAS, the Middleburg Charitable Foundation has provided grants to a wide variety of charitable causes within the Commonwealth, including the LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services Crisis Center for Loudoun County, the Middleburg Community Center, and the Middleburg Library Advisory Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That the Middleburg Charitable Foundation hereby be commended for its efforts to provide for its community and residents of the Commonwealth; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Middleburg Charitable Foundation as an expression of the Senate of Virginia’s admiration for its dedication to providing its community with the funds needed to ensure strong community engagement, health, safety, and education.
