SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 233
Celebrating the life of Barbara Berry Jenkins.

WHEREAS, Barbara Berry Jenkins, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and an active resident of the Northern Neck, died on December 27, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Jenkins was a representative for the Mary Kay cosmetics company for many years; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Jenkins generously volunteered her time to the community as a member of the Westmoreland Ruritan Club and served as the organization’s treasurer; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Jenkins enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Montross; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Jenkins’ greatest joy in life was her family, and she relished every opportunity to pass along her wisdom to her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Jenkins will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, John; her children, Beth and Johnny, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Barbara Berry Jenkins, a vibrant member of the Westmoreland County community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Barbara Berry Jenkins as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
