SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 143
Celebrating the life of Stanley William Roberts.

WHEREAS, Stanley William Roberts, a health care professional and highly admired member of the Fredericksburg community, died on February 12, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Stanley “Stan” Roberts was born in Lanham, Maryland, to the late William and Frieda Roberts; and

WHEREAS, Stan Roberts moved to the Commonwealth with his family in his youth and graduated from Osbourn High School in Manassas; and

WHEREAS, Stan Roberts joined Phillips Medical Systems and supported the health care industry as a biomedical technician for 35 years; and

WHEREAS, outside of his career, Stan Roberts was an amateur shortwave radio operator and train enthusiast; and

WHEREAS, Stan Roberts enjoyed fellowship and worship with the Fredericksburg community as an active member of New Life in Christ Church; and

WHEREAS, Stan Roberts will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Eileen; his children, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jason, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Stanley William Roberts; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Stanley William Roberts as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
