HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 279 Commending the Bold Mariner Brewing Company.   Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 4, 2024  

WHEREAS, the Bold Mariner Brewing Company, a veteran-owned taproom and restaurant, has served the Norfolk community from its current location for five years; and

WHEREAS, the Bold Mariner, originally located at Lambert’s Point, opened in 2015 and has been operating from its current location in the Ocean View area of Norfolk since 2019; and

WHEREAS, located right on the waterfront, the Bold Mariner provides visitors and locals with scenic views of the Chesapeake Bay as they enjoy a full range of house-brewed beers, barbecue, and other snacks; and

WHEREAS, the Bold Mariner is 100 percent veteran-owned and is an official partner of the Navy SEAL Foundation, which provides critical support to active duty service members, veterans, and military families; and

WHEREAS, the Bold Mariner plays a crucial role in the protection of the local environment and participated in monthly beach cleanup programs that collected more than 900 pounds of trash in 2023; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Bold Mariner Brewing Company hereby be commended for its service to the community on the occasion of its fifth anniversary at its current location; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Bold Mariner Brewing Company as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for the establishment’s contributions to the local economy and community life in Norfolk.
