VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to require the Commission on Civic Education to create model guidance on the inclusion and involvement of enrolled students in the work of local school boards. [H 958] Approved

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Commission on Civic Education established pursuant to Chapter 55 (§ 30-348 et seq.) of Title 30 of the Code of Virginia shall, in conjunction with such stakeholders as it deems appropriate, create and provide to each local school board no later than July 1, 2025, model guidance on the inclusion and involvement of students enrolled in the local school division in the work of the local school board, including model guidance on a process and structure for adding a student representative to the local school board.
