HOUSE BILL NO. 950 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on Counties, Cities and Towns on February 9, 2024) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Lopez) A BILL to temporarily prohibit modifications to the Uniform Statewide Building Code.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, neither the Governor nor the Board of Housing and Community Development shall modify any regulation in the Uniform Statewide Building Code (§ 36-97 et seq. of the Code of Virginia) prior to the conclusion of the Commonwealth's next triennial code development process.
