Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety, established pursuant to § 9.1-184 of the Code of Virginia, shall include in the list of items to be reviewed and evaluated in school safety audits, developed pursuant to subsection B of § 22.1-279.8, and each school board shall require all schools under its supervisory control to review and evaluate in their annual school safety audits required pursuant to subsection B of § 22.1-279.8, information on the type of school security technology utilized for each public school building in the applicable school division, including information relating to (i) specific technology systems, including physical security technologies, emergency telecommunication systems, and associated technology including equipment and software and (ii) the age of such school security technology systems.
