Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 3.2-6515.1 as follows:

§ 3.2-6515.1. Pet shops; consumer credit.

A pet shop shall comply with the provisions of the federal Truth in Lending Act (15 U.S.C. § 1601 et seq.) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Regulation Z (12 C.F.R. Part 1026) when it offers or extends consumer credit, as defined therein.
