JOINT CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT

We, the conferees, appointed by the respective bodies to consider and report upon the disagreeing vote on House Bill No. 972, report as follows:

A. We recommend that the Senate Amendments be rejected.

B. We recommend that the engrossed bill be accepted with the following amendment to resolve the matter under disagreement:

    1. Line 14, engrossed

      strike

        all of lines 14 and 15 and through law. on line 16

      insert

        At the initial court hearing for any misdemeanor or felony, the court shall advise the defendant of the following: The outcome of criminal proceedings may have federal immigration and naturalization consequences.
