SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Department of Human Resource Management; alternative application process for the employment of persons with a disability; policy update. Directs the Department of Human Resource Management to update the policy related to the alternative application process for the employment of persons with a disability to allow individuals currently employed with the Commonwealth of Virginia an equal opportunity to apply for and obtain a Certification of Disability.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Department of Human Resource Management; alternative application process for the employment of persons with a disability; policy update. Directs the Department of Human Resource Management to update the policy related to the alternative application process for the employment of persons with a disability to (i) require all state agencies to post all available positions on the Alternative Hiring Process webpage of the online Recruitment Management System for the Commonwealth and (ii) allow individuals currently employed with the Commonwealth of Virginia an equal opportunity to apply for and obtain a Certification of Disability.
