23102910DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 13 of Title 28.2 a section numbered 28.2-1301.1 as follows:
§ 28.2-1301.1. Wetlands; exemption for federal government agencies.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no agency of the United States government, including any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States, shall be required to comply with the provisions of this chapter, the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act (§ 62.1-44.15:67 et seq.), or any local ordinance implementing any provision of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act for any new or existing use or development of wetlands.
