22103956DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 10 of Title 32.1 a section numbered 32.1-331.05 as follows:
§ 32.1-331.05. Reports related to ICF/IID utilization.
The Department shall report annually by December 1 of each year to the Governor and the Chairmen of the Senate Committees on Education and Health and Finance and Appropriations and the House Committees on Health, Welfare and Institutions and Appropriations regarding utilization of community intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IIDs) including (i) the number of ICF/IIDs in the Commonwealth, by facility size and ownership type, and any change in the number of ICF/IIDs in the Commonwealth, by facility size and ownership type, over the previous year; (ii) the number of ICF/IID residents in the Commonwealth, by facility size and ownership type, and the change in the number of ICF/IID residents in the Commonwealth, by facility size and ownership type, over the previous year; (iii) the cost of ICF/IID placements to the Commonwealth over the previous year, by facility size and ownership type; (iv) barriers to serving ICF/IID residents in more integrated settings; and (iv) steps taken to address such barriers. Such report shall also be made available to the public on a website maintained by the Department.
