Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Virginia Indigent Defense Commission (the Commission) shall establish a work group of appropriate stakeholders to study and develop recommendations for the feasibility, cost, and implementation of full statewide coverage of public defender offices. The Commission shall report its findings and recommendations to the chairmen of the Virginia State Crime Commission, the House Committee for Courts of Justice, the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, the House Committee on Appropriations, and the Senate Committee on Finance and Appropriations by November 1, 2022.
