22100158DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the Secretary of Commerce and Trade shall establish a task force to study the costs associated with management of regulatory compliance for businesses in the Commonwealth. The task force shall consist of such stakeholders as the Secretary deems appropriate and shall (i) consult businesses, organizations, and associations within the business community to examine the time and costs associated with regulatory compliance paperwork across key industries in the Commonwealth and (ii) compile data and provide analysis, by industry, on the time required and costs incurred by businesses in complying with regulatory requirements. Such analysis shall identify specific regulations significantly affecting businesses in the Commonwealth and quantify the time and costs associated with such regulations. The task force shall report its findings and conclusions to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 1, 2022.
